The Seacoast Division of the NMRA publishes its quarterly newsletter calledThe Switch Tower. The newsletter regularly contains:
- Contact information for the officers, directors, and editor
- Calendar of events in Maine and New Hampshire for the ensuing three months
- Message from the Division's president
- Board of Directors meeting minutes or summary
- Articles on model railroading topics such as overviews of model railroad clubs, upcoming events, modeling techniques, and other topics of interest to model railroaders
- News of NMRA and Northeastern Region happenings
The Switch Tower depends on volunteer writers for its content. All members are encouraged to submit articles for publication. Also, non-members often are asked to write articles on topics of interest to Division members.

The deadlines for publications and the regular publication dates are as follows:
- for January 1 Publication, all materials submitted by December 1
- for April 1 Publication, all materials submitted by March 1
- for July 1 Publication, all materials submitted by June 1
- for October 1 Publication, all materials submitted by September 1
Distribution of The Switch Tower
The newsletter is available for FREE in electronic form (pdf) from the link at the top of this page. The newsletter is also available by link within an email sent directly to members who have provided a working email address.
The newsletter is also available in hard copy through the U.S Postal Service AT COST. Currently, the annual subscription fee for hard copies is ten dollars ($10). For those who wish to receive a hard copy by mail, please submit a written request to the Switch Tower Editor along with a check or money order in the amount of $10 per year payable to Seacoast Division of the NMRA.
